Although it is the most famous representative of all Dordogne wines, the Monbazillac from the appellation of the same name is by no means as respected as its bigger brother from the Bordeaux region - the Sauternes. Due to the very moderate climate and the exchange of cold and warmth that begins in autumn, the natural sugar content and the concentration in the grape are increased. This is the prerequisite for this elegant fortified wine.

The wine is aged exclusively in French oak barrels. The taste profile ranges from honey and light jam to spices and slight hints of herbs. The barrels offer a significant aroma and are ideal for distillates of all kinds, as well as for beers.
