Our large round casks, ranging from 5 to 60 hectoliters in volume, represent the highest quality and artisanal precision. Each individual cask is meticulously handcrafted by experienced master coopers whose knowledge and skills are rooted in generations of traditional craftsmanship. This decades-long experience flows into every detail and guarantees durable products that meet the highest standards.
For our round casks, we use only the finest, carefully selected oak wood. The wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests across various European regions and is processed with great care. Before further processing, the oak is air-dried outdoors – for at least one year per centimeter of thickness. This long, natural drying period ensures that harsh tannins are leached out, allowing the wood to develop its fine, harmonious aromas.
The character of the wood – its scent and structure – plays a decisive role in shaping the maturation process within the cask. That’s why we place the highest value on the quality of our raw materials and the precision of our craftsmanship. To ensure ideal micro-oxidation, the outer surfaces of our round casks are treated with special natural oils and waxes. This preserves the wood’s positive properties while allowing for a controlled and beneficial aging process.
Whether for wine, spirits, or other premium products – our round casks combine function, form, and aesthetics in a truly refined way. They are not merely storage vessels but an active part of the maturation process, giving each product its unique character and depth.
In addition to our classic round casks, our range of large casks also includes a selection of high-quality oval casks and fermenters, also known as vats. These complement our offering perfectly and provide versatile solutions for the storage and fermentation of a wide variety of products.
Our oval casks stand out due to their unique shape, which not only creates a visual highlight in the cellar but also impresses with its functional benefits. Thanks to their geometry, they ensure particularly even maturation and are available in various sizes – naturally crafted from carefully dried, hand-selected oak and manufactured in traditional craftsmanship.
Fermenters, or vats, are a proven solution especially for open fermentation. For many winemakers and distillers, they are an essential part of the cellar setup. Here too, we place the highest value on quality, durability, and functionality.
