Oak segments are cut into squares and rectangles from French oak staves. The raw staves were toasted in a convection oven or over natural wood fire. We offer the following toastings: Light, Medium, Medium + and Heavy. Segments were developed for medium-term extraction and provide complexity, structure and strength to your wines, distillates and beers. The minimum contact time is three months.
Due to the larger surface, you need more time to extract the typical aromas to your wines, distillates or beers. Developed primarily for use in steel tanks, these segments can also be used in neutral barrels and casks.
