Our French oak alternatives are made from high-quality, sustainably sourced raw staves, precisely cut into segments in square or rectangular shapes. These oak segments are ideal for medium-term aging of wine, spirits, and beer, and can be easily integrated into various aging systems—whether in stainless steel tanks or neutral oak barrels.

FLAVOR DIVERSITY THROUGH PRECISE TOASTING LEVELS
Depending on the desired flavor profile, the oak is toasted at different intensities—either using convection ovens or traditional open wood fire. The following toast levels are available:

I Light Toasting: Delicate vanilla and fresh oak notes
I Medium/Medium+ Toasting: Complex aromas of caramel, roasted nuts, and spices
I Heavy Toasting: Bold roasted flavors with hints of dark chocolate and coffee


Each toast level creates a distinct sensory profile, offering targeted options for flavor enhancement and structural refinement.

MEDIUM-TERM FLAVOR EXTRACTION FOR COMPLEX AND BALANCED TASTE PROFILES

Our medium-sized oak segments are ideal for controlled flavor release during medium- to long-term aging of wine, beer, and spirits. Thanks to their larger surface area, they allow for slow and even extraction, enhancing depth, structure, and aromatic complexity.

Because the aromas are released gradually, a minimum contact time of three months is recommended. During this period, a refined flavor profile develops—elevating the character of the final product without overpowering its natural taste.

IDEAL FOR STAINLESS STEEL TANKS AND BARREL RE-TREATMENT
These oak segments perform especially well in stainless steel tanks, where they contribute delicate toast notes, vanilla, and spicy undertones under stable conditions. They can also be used in neutral barrels to enhance ongoing maturation—adding complexity without masking the original oak character.
