We import our mezcal barrels directly from premium distilleries in the designated production areas of Mexico. Those are ideal for maturing and finshing beer, gin, corn schnapps and other distillates. Unlike Tequila, Mezcal may be made from any type of agave. Depending on the production process, there are the categories "Mezcal Ancestral", "Mezcal Artesanal" and "Mezcal". In terms of maturation, Mezcal is classified in the following grades:
ABACADO/ BLANCO/ JOVEN
A clear, transparent Mezcal bottled immediately after distillation.
REPOSADO/ MADURADO
A Mezcal that is aged between two and eleven months in oak barrels and thus characteristically gets a light caramel color.
ANEJO/ ANEJADO
This Mezcal is aged for at least 12 months in barrels of American white oak and impresses with its intense brown color.
In addition to our mezcal barrels, we of course also offer you our premium Tequila Barrels, which we also obtain from top distilleries in Mexico.
