Fortified wine is mainly produced in the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Rivesaltes in southern France. Alcohol is added to the so-called Vin Doux Naturel to stop fermentation and achieve the typical sweetness of this wine. The grape varieties Muscat and Grenache are mainly grown and used. The characteristic aromas such as raisins, nuts, plums and apricots are clearly stand out in the French oak barrels used. Our partners are the small winegrowing companies in the region, who supply us with selected barrels on request.

We always have freshly emptied oak barrels from our category Dessert Wine/ Sweet Wine available that have been checked by our master coopers. We select according to strict criteria and can thus guarantee casks of the highest quality.
